Ducati has been quite popular in India with a few of its bikes, like the Panigale and the Scrambler. The brand is set to launch a new Monster, the naked street motorcycle, in India soon and the teasers are already up on social media.
The teaser came in the form of a very short video that says ‘#JustFun Coming soon’. However, the teaser did not mention anything about the exact launch date. The video clip also showed the silhouette of a naked motorcycle, which confirms that it would be none other than the Monster.
The all-new Ducati Monster was unveiled to the world just last year in December. This international version of the bike is run on a 937cc L-twin engine, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 111 bhp, coming at 9,250 RPM, along with a peak torque of 93 Nm, which comes at 6,500 RPM. Now, this new engine in the upgraded model is slightly larger and lighter by 2.5 kilograms at the same time. The engine has been designed to perform the best in the low and mid-range of the rev counter. The transmission duties are managed by a 6-speed gearbox.
Aesthetically, it looks like a new motorcycle altogether. The round LED headlamp looks great, especially with the DRLs. The tank section looks extremely sporty, and bold. The twin-port exhaust adds to the physical appeal and the sound. The taillight and turn signal indicators are done in LED as well.
The new Ducati Monster also has a very good electronics package. To start with, it has cornering ABS for the braking section. Other safety features are taken care of by Wheelie Control and Traction Control, all of which are adjustable. There are also three riding modes, Sports, Urban, and Touring. The big 4.3-inch display provides a plethora of information.
With the teaser already on, the bike maker should drop date of launch soon. All you have to do now is wait in anticipation and follow this space to get updates on your favourite bikes as soon as they come.
