Hero MotorCorp has finally launched its Xpulse 200 4V, which is the brand’s first four-valve motorcycle. Recently, it was spotted testing with the 4V badging.
Currently, in the Indian market, Hero Xpulse 200 is the most affordable adventure motorcycle in the entry-level segment. This motorcycle has helped the brand to get consistent sales figures in the 200cc segment.
The most crucial change in the new Xpulse is the 4-valve engine because the previous model came with a 2-valve unit. The key reason behind this change has to be the customer feedback as they always complained regarding the poor top-end performance of the motorcycle.
Also, cruising speeds on the previous model were not comfortable for both the rider and the motorcycle. With the updated 4-valve engine, the airflow to the motor will be highly improved, which will aid in burning the fuel effectively.
The brand claims that the new engine will offer 5 percent more torque and 6 percent better power if compared to the previous model.
The all-new four-valve oil-cooled engine will churn out a maximum power of 19.1 PS at 8500 RPM and a peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6500 RPM. However, it will continue to get the same five-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The motorcycle will now run at higher RPM without any stress and will also flaunt reduced emissions due to better fuel combustion. The brand claims that the bike can do long tours without worrying about the engine heating up as the 4-valve system will aid in cooling the cylinder head.
Moving to the styling updates, it now comes with revamped LED headlights that offer 21 percent better illumination. The improved seat profile will allow the rider to clock more miles without compromising on comfort.
The brand has offered three new paint schemes - Trail Blue, Red Raid, and Blitz Blue. However, other visual features remain the same such as the knuckle guards, sculpted fuel tank, circular headlamp, windscreen, spear-shaped indicators, upswept exhaust and more.
The brand also offers a Rally Kit and various other accessories like tail bags, knee pads, mobile holders and more. The new Hero Xpulse 200 4V will be offered at a price point of Rs 1,28,150 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
