Hero MotoCorp is currently working on a four-valve 200 cc motor, which will be offered in the Xtreme 200S and Xpulse 200. Recently, spy shots of test mules were leaked on the internet, and it showed that the Xtreme 200S came with a 4V badging and an updated design.
We are expecting the brand to launch the updated models during the coming festive season. There are not many cosmetic changes according to the spy images. Even the fairing looks the same with identical graphics.
However, the red paint job can be seen on the tank. Therefore, it can not be declared that it will be the production model. Still, the brand is planning to offer minimum cosmetic changes and more mechanical changes because the test model was not even camouflaged.
It can be expected that the upcoming Xtreme 200S 4V comes with the same 199.6cc single-cylinder motor. However, a new 4-valve setup will be offered instead of the current 2-valve setup, which will aid the motorcycle in offering better performance and a decent top-end.
The current 2-valve setup generates around 18.08 PS of maximum power and 16.45 Nm of peak torque. With the addition of 4-valves, we can expect the figures to increase. Having said that, the transmission is likely to remain the same, i.e., a five-speed gearbox.
Talking about the braking, it will continue to offer a 220 mm disc at the rear and a 276 mm disc at the front. The front tyre will be aided with an Anti-Lock Braking System.
The brand has not revealed the pricing of the upcoming Hero Xtreme 200S 4V, but we can expect it to cost more than the current model.
