Kawasaki Z 650

The Japanese motorcycle maker has launched the 2021 version of the bike in India with a price tag of Rs 6.04 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. Mechanically, the bike remains the same as the previous year’s model while there are some aesthetically enhanced bits such as full LED headlight and taillight units.

Also, the bike gets a meaner version of the Sugomi design language of the Kawasaki naked bikes. The road presence is increased by the lime-green alloy wheels at both ends.

If you are more into highway touring or sports touring, Kawasaki Ninja 650 is the better choice when compared to the Z 650. BMW F 900 R

The next bike is the BMW F 900 R which is again a roadster bike from the German manufacturer. The F 900 R is developed to be used by riders both in the city as well as on the highways. It is among the very few bikes in the BMW’s Indian line-up as of now.

BMW F 900 XR is a touring version of the F 900 R roadster bike. What if someone ask you who is the god among the cruisers? The answer you must give is BMW R18. Yes, BMW R18 is a god among the cruisers. It got a hefty boxer twin engine with humongous dimensions. It is a timeless beauty and comes with extensive chrome elements.

BMW R18 cruiser is powered by a hefty air and oil-cooled, 1802cc, horizontally opposed twin-cylinder boxer engine. This prime mover pumps out a maximum power of 89.84 bhp at 4750 rpm and a peak torque of 158 Nm at 3000 rpm. The bike gets a 6-speed gearbox for reduction duties and is sleek shifting box for comfortable and precision gear shifting.

As seen on the GS series of bikes, the boxer engine is extremely balanced in nature and thus provides better motorcycle management in the city rides despite having a kerb weight of 345 kg. It gets a single pod instrument panel with analogue speedometer and an LCD screen for delivering rest of the information to the rider.

R18 is suspended from a pair of telescopic forks at the front and the rear gets a monoshock suspension. Braking duties are handled by 300 mm disc at the front and 300 mm disc at the rear backed by dual-channel ABS. BMW S 1000 XR

BMW has another bike in this list, the powerful and exclusive BMW S 1000 XR. It is a road biased touring bike made for performance and touring enthusiasts who cannot resist the power on offer. BMW S 1000 XR is propelled by a 999cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that breathes through 16-valve DOHC head. It is fed by a multipoint fuel injection system which aids in churning out 159.8 bhp of max power at 10,000 rpm with 114 Nm of torque at 9250 rpm. You get a 6-speed gearbox connected via an assist and slipper clutch.

The BS6 engine of the S 1000 XR is reworked and now produces more power and torque that helps in achieving better cruising speed for long-distance riding. The bike attains 100 kmph from standstill in just 2.8 seconds and 200 kmph comes up in 10 seconds with a top speed of over 260 kmph.

In the instrumentation department, BMW S 1000 XR comes with a 6.5-inch colourful TFT display that offers the rider a range of information. Apart from this, you can connect the console via Bluetooth for additional connected features. There are four riding modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro. All these four riding modes change the throttle response, level of engine braking, interruption of ABS while braking, traction control as well as wheelie control for providing the best riding experience and maximum safety for the rider.

This motor pumps out immense power of 197 bhp at 11000 rpm and 137 Nm of torque at 8500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission via an assist and slipper clutch. Z H2 does 0 to 100 kmph under 2.7 seconds with a top speed north of 290 kmph.

There is a 4.3-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity with ride data and trip log information on your smartphone. A number of safety electronics are present in the bike that keeps the rider safe.
