TVS Motor Company has announced that they have signed a partnership with Tata Power to build EV charging infrastructure on a large number, dedicated to charging current and upcoming electric two-wheelers.
According to the brand, this partnership will help in boosting electric mobility in the nation. Due to the rise in fuel prices, the EV segment (two-wheeler and four-wheeler) has seen a massive rise in sales.
Moreover, various startups are coming up with unique and feature-loaded EVs. Hence, dedicated charging infrastructure is a vital thing. However, for Instance, EV owners face the issue of not getting charging stations, which can cause a problem if they run out of charge in the middle of nowhere.
This is the key factor holding the Indian audience back when it comes to shifting to electric mobility. The partnership between TVS and Tata aims to build both DC fast-charging and AC charging networks across the nation for electric two-wheelers.
Moreover, the MoU also ensures that the two firms build solar power technologies at various locations of TVS Motors. The latter will aid the TVS iQUBE owners in accessing a wide range of charging stations with the help of the connect app offered by TVS.
The joint MD of TVS, Sudarshan Venu, stated that they would be offering a wide range of charging stations for both two-wheeler and three-wheeler EV buyers and the stations will be powered by renewable sources of energy.
According to TVS, they are currently focused on offering top-class charging facilities and convenience to its customers via fast-charging stations. In addition, they are choosing solar energy this time so that the shift towards electric mobility is cleaner.
As we know that the concerns for climate change are increasing every day. Hence, solar energy and other renewable sources will play a major role in shifting towards sustainable mobility.
