The TVS Motor Company has launched the 2022 Apache RTR 160 4V in the Indian market, which now comes with many added features. The key update has to be the addition of three ride modes (Rain, Urban and Sport ).
The new RTR 160 4V will be available in three paint schemes - Metallic Blue, Knight Black, and Racing Red. Moreover, these colour options will be available in all three variants - drum, front disc, and dual disc.
The brand has been recently launching a lot of new products in the Indian market, such as the Jupiter 125, Raider, and the new Apache RR310. Coming back to the updated RTR 160 4V, it gets a revamped headlamp assembly with fresh LED DRLs.
Other features added in the update include a radial rear tyre and a gear shift indicator. The latter was the most demanded feature from the previous owners of RTR 160 4V. At the front, it comes with telescopic forks, and at the rear, it gets a mono-shock unit.
Moving to the powertrain, it comes equipped with a 159.7cc, four-valve single-cylinder engine, which can generate a maximum power of 17.39 bhp and a peak torque of 14.73 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a five-speed gearbox.
The brand has also introduced a Special edition that flaunts a special Matte Black paint scheme and red highlights. The red treatment is also offered to the alloy wheels—the latter aids in providing a sporty appeal to the motorcycle.
The top-of-the-line variant comes with a revamped instrument console. It gets a TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity system, including features like navigation, caller ID, last parked location, message notifications, and more.
Other features include a one-touch start, a wave bite ignition key, GTT (Glide Through Traffic). The latter allows the motorcycle to crawl in the traffic without any throttle input from the rider.
The updated Apache RTR 160 4V comes with dual disc brakes with single-channel ABS as standard when it comes to braking performance. It would have been great if the brand offered dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
Talking about the pricing, it starts from Rs 1,15,265 for the base drum variant, Rs 1,17,350 for the front disc variant and Rs 1,20,050 for the dual disc variant. If we talk about the Special Edition, it comes with a price tag of Rs 1,21,372.
