TVS Motor Company has finally launched the all-new Jupiter 125 in the Indian market. The brand launched the Jupiter 110 back in 2013, and it was one of the top-selling scooters.
After so many years, the company has decided to update it with a more powerful engine, better design and more features. The TVS Jupiter 125 will compete with scooters like Honda Activa 125, Hero Maestro 125, and Suzuki Access 125.
The most crucial update in the scooter has to be the powertrain, as it now comes with an all-new 124.8 cc two-valve air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is capable of churning out 8.3 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 4,500 rpm.
The brand claims that this engine will be the most fuel-efficient scooter in the segment. However, if we compare the motor with the 3V mill that we get on TVS Ntorq, it makes 1 PS less power.
Talking about the visual changes, it flaunts a revamped LED headlamp that gets chrome garnish in a unique boomerang shape. It also comes with a chrome mirror accent, black windscreen, L-shaped LED DRLs, TVS Intelligo badging and more.
Another key visual change has to be the diamond-cut alloy wheels that aid in offering a premium feel to the scooter. The single-piece seat with white stitching not only looks good but at the same time offers amazing comfort.
Moreover, it now comes with a new semi-digital instrument cluster that shows a lot of information such as malfunction indicator, Econometer, clock, fuel consumption graph, odometer, side stand indicator, helmet reminder, and more.
If you opt for the variant with Bluetooth connectivity, you can find more information on the cluster. The brand claims that this scooter will have the segment’s best under-seat storage capacity as it can fit two full-face helmets without any issue.
To offer better fuel economy, it gets idle engine start/stop features that shut the engine during the idle condition. It gets a 5L fuel tank even after the repositioning of the fuel tank.
The scooter will be available in four paint schemes - IndiBlue, Dawn Orange, Titanium Grey and Pristine White. It also flaunts a 3-step-adjustable rear shocks for a plush ride quality.
It has a good ground clearance of 160 mm. Talking about the pricing, the brand has offered the new Jupiter 125 at a price point of Rs 73,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
