Kawasaki W175 mileage

Kawasaki W175

The Kawasaki W175 is a retro-styled executive commuter motorcycle that offers a classic design with good refinement and high reliability. First launched in India in 2022, the W175 is aimed at buyers who prefer minimal electronics and a timeless aesthetic over aggressive performance or flamboyant styling. The motorcycle is powered by a 177cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine and follows a basic mechanical layout without modern electronics like ride modes or dual-channel ABS. With a kerb weight of 135 kg, a seat height of 790 mm, and a comfortable riding posture, the Kawasaki W175 is beginner-friendly and designed for urban as well as occasional highway use. While it doesn’t compete with performance-oriented motorcycles, it goes up against models like the Yamaha FZ-X and TVS Ronin.

<p>The Kawasaki W175 is one of the most affordable motorcycles from the brand’s India lineup. In India, the Kawasaki W175 has an ex-showroom price of approx. ₹1.22 lakh for the base variant. The on-road price of the Kawasaki W175 in Delhi starts around ₹1.44 lakh. This is inclusive of RTO fees, insurance, and additional charges. It’s worth noting that the on-road price varies by city, depending on local taxation. In Mumbai, for example, the on-road price for the W175 can go slightly above ₹1.53 lakh. Available in two colour options – Ebony and Candy Persimmon Red, the W175 blends retro appeal with a Japanese simplicity.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mileage is one of the strong points of the Kawasaki W175. Powered by a fuel-injected 177cc engine, the W175 offers a claimed mileage of around 45–50 kmpl under normal riding conditions. This figure, however, can vary depending on riding habits, terrain, and maintenance. In city, the W175 returns about 40–45 kmpl, whereas on highway, it can improve that to nearly 50–52 kmpl when ridden gently. With a 12-litre fuel tank, this translates into a usable real-world range of over 500 km.</p>

<p>The Kawasaki W175 is powered by a 177cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 13 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 13.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There are almost no electronic rider aids on the W175. no Dual-channel ABS, no traction control and no digital console. The motorcycle comes with a telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 270 mm disc at the front and a drum at the rear. The lightweight chassis, 135 kg kerb weight, and 790 mm seat height make it accessible for riders of all heights.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td>Specifications</td><td>Details</td></tr><tr><td>Engine</td><td>177cc, Single-cylinder, Air-cooled</td></tr><tr><td>Power</td><td>13 PS @ 7,500 rpm</td></tr><tr><td>Torque</td><td>13.2 Nm @ 6,000 rpm</td></tr><tr><td>Top Speed</td><td>~100 km/h</td></tr><tr><td>Mileage (Claimed)</td><td>45–50 kmpl</td></tr><tr><td>Transmission</td><td>5-speed</td></tr><tr><td>Weight</td><td>135 kg</td></tr><tr><td>Seat Height</td><td>790 mm</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>
